Mr. YE is also Deputy of Shanghai Municipal People's Congress, Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of Shanghai International Trust & Investment Corporation and Senior Consultant of China Shipping (Group) Company. He has served for 10 years in two successive terms as Director of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal People's Congress.

    Mr. YE was instrumental in the setting up of the Shanghai Consumer Association, the establishment of which he approved during his tenure as Vice-Mayor. The Shanghai Consumer Association was expanded both in scope and in resources support under Mr. YE's Chairmanship.
