Owen D. Nee Jr., partner, earned his Bachelor of Arts (cum laude) from Princeton University in 1965.  After receiving his Juris Doctor Degree from Columbia University in 1973, where Mr. Nee was an editor of the Columbia Law Review, he began working in the firm's Hong Kong office.  Mr. Nee played a major role in the establishment of the firm's China practice with the opening of its first office in Beijing in 1979, the first of any foreign firm.  Mr. Nee is the managing partner of the firm's Hong Kong and China offices.  Mr. Nee edits a three volume work on the law of the People's Republic of China for Oceana Publications in the United States under the title Commercial, Business and Trade Laws of the People's Republic of China and has contributed China legal articles to the International Financial Law Review and the Asian Wall Street Journal.  Mr. Nee is fluent in Mandarin.
