Ms. EU received her basic education in Hong Kong and obtained her LLB degree from the University of Hong Kong in 1975 and her LLM degree from the University of London in 1976. She was called to the Bar in England in 1977 and in Hong Kong in 1978. She became a Queen's Counsel in 1993, which was re-titled as Senior Counsel since 1997.

        Ms. EU was appointed a Justice of the Peace in 1994. Her present public services and commitments include: Chairman of the Appeal Board Panel (Consumer Goods Safety), Vice-Chairperson of the Management Committee of the Consumer Legal Action Fund, Deputy Chairman of Board of Review (Inland Revenue) and Member of the Provisional Council on Reproductive Technology.
